The Oxford Green Estate (OGE) team welcomed local families to Park Farm on 19 September for a morning of nature, wildlife and family activities.

The second Family Day organised by OGE gave local people the opportunity to explore the site, take part in a range of activities and meet the team responsible for its management.

There was plenty to get involved with, including bug hunting, colouring, dream catcher making and nature trail activities.

Visitors could also join a guided walk and meet bird ringing experts, who shared their knowledge and explained more about their work.

The event also provided an opportunity for local people to ask questions about the management of Park Farm and find out more about the work taking place across the site.

Over the past three years, the OGE Team has been particularly active, delivering a range of projects including:

• fencing
• reinstating grazing
• ditching and
• creating hibernacula to support local wildlife.

With the success of the Family Day, plans are already underway for further talks and walks at Park Farm in 2027.
